Brogan is a full Registered Irish Draught gelding, registered with the green ID Book, standing at just over 16.2hh, he is estimated to mature at 17hh. He is a dun (Dorsal stripe and zebra pattern on front legs), extremely rare colour for the ID breeding. I have had Brogan since being a yearling. I bought him from his breeder in Ireland. His education has come a long way; when he first arrived he was shy with humans and not been 'touched' or halter broken. Since owning Brogan I have taught him to trust humans and built a bond with him. He loves attention and likes to do new things. He has been stabled every night over the winter months with no problems (he loves coming in for a sleep) and turned out in the summer, coming in occasionally for a rest. Brogan is a very kind soul, extremely good in the field with other horses, he's easy to handle and tie up to do anything with such as bathing, grooming, farrier etc.
He never kicks, bucks or rears. He has been loaded into a 3.5T horsebox without any issues, went it first time. He has seen the tractor in our yard and walked around it which he is not
bothered at all. Seen various types of traffic from standing at the end of our drive and has been led a few times around our local village of which he has had cars passing. Traffic doesn't seem to faze Brogan at all, he is very bold for his age. I have done some basic groundwork with Brogan and also done some small obstacles, such as walking over tarpoline, poles, seeing flags and balls from a ball pool (of which he just put in his mouth). Brogans temperament is second to non, really laid back boy, never spooky or jumpy. You could not wish for a better temperament. He has a kind eye and has never put a foot wrong whilst being with us.
Only reason for sale is I am looking to buy my first house, so I do not have the time and funds to keep him. He will make someone a brilliant forever friend.
10* home is ESSENTIAL for him. No dealers. I want him to have a forever home and preferably stay in contact with his new home.
Fully vaccinated, wormed, trimmed regularly.
No lumps, bumps, quirks or vices.
Good to trim, bath, groom, catch, rug etc.
