The Ultimate Equestrian Christmas Gift Guide 2023: Unwrap Joy for Horse Lovers!
Equestrian Advice & Guides All Disciplines
I bought this lorry with all good intentions of taking my horses out and about. When travelling my highland pony it got round the old partition so decided to get some new ones made…that’s when the fun began (but not for my husbands bank account).
This lorry didn’t have a surrounding frame round the horse area which meant a horse could kick the sides out!!
£13k later….it had a new frame round it, new Ali floor with drain hole and fitted rubber, new wall covering, 3 new removable partitions, new exhaust, living area extended, new dividing wall, new cupboards in living area, new covered seats (cab and living), new laminate floor and so on.
This lorry does have a few miles on the clock but doesn’t that show it just keeps going, it’s a real workhorse.
No tack lockers in the horse area, can take 2 large horses or 3 ponies easily. My 17hh ID fits comfortably.
The living is basic but does the job, seat changes into a small double bed and the floor easily fits a blow up double bed. Saddle racks in the living area in the cupboard, other one takes jackets etc. lots of draw space.
Has a sink, gas hob and fridge. Lighting in living and horse area.
Tilt cab with small opening to living area.
6 gears and easy to drive.
Does have age related wear and tear (bit like myself!)
Flew through the mot with no advisories, service carried out.
Payload 1520kg
MOT’D UNTIL FEB 2024.
If you want an really safe lorry then this is it.
