Heathview Red Flyer
Chestnut, 15hh Welsh D gelding.
Red is 6 years, a great all rounder with low mileage and a big heart.
A genuinely loving, sweet lad who is a fine example of his breed. He is a forward going, snaffle mouthed ride. He has three lovely paces both in the school and out hacking. Hacks out alone or in company. Leads from the front or happy to be behind. excellent in traffic. He has been with one owner so the right person who can gel with Red and they with him is a must.
He is happy to live in or out. Good to lead, clip, shoe, load and travel. Generally good to saddle up. happy with a haynet in front of him.
He has a bright future ahead of him. He has been slowly produced, taking everything in his stride and always willing to please. I would like somebody to continue his education as I have done. He would do well in local shows. local XC, hunter trial etc.
Red is very forward going and can be sharp so no complete novices. he has a very soft mouth so no 'sawers' or those who rely heavily on their reins. Red enjoys his jumping and will try his heart out for you.
Competition and opportunity to hunt is at Loanee's cost.
He is happy jumping but not every day or big heights to impress. He does have a lovely swing through his back and would do well in local dressage. He is open minded, taking in new scenes and situations in his stride. He enjoys plenty of variety.
Please, no jumpers who want to jump all the time or clear massive heights. No gallopers who want to canter on every strip of grass they see. If you intend on spending 90% of your time in the school. He is not for you as he enjoys plenty of variety.
He is currently kept on a lovely yard in Westbourne, Emsworth, We have a floodlit arena, lunge pen, jumps, poles, cavaletti and fillers. year round grazing with much of the year spent out overnight. We have lovely hacking with access to two local woodlands, a village ride with a local babbling brooke that we often take the horses and wander through the water. Several liveries have their own transport and are usually more than happy to provide transport to shows, hunting, beach rides etc.
Please understand this is a difficult decision. Part loan to begin with and if you and Red get on really well I would consider full loan.
Please, no timewasters, tyre kickers. The yard is rural but it can be accessed by public transport. No complete novices or olympic wannabees or those who overstate their riding abiliities.
Red is a genuinely, great little horse. My absolute pride and joy, an absolute pleasure on the ground and under saddle. ...Read full description
