    Golden Retriever Comforts Neglected Horse

An incredible bond between a neglected horse and Golden Retriever is caught on camera.

    Golden Retriever,
Molly, has been praised for her great work. She comforted her friend Sammy the miniature horse after she was found wandering the streets in South California.

Molly was at Carolina Equine Rescue and Assistance when Sammy the horse was found. Darlene Kindle who works at the rescue shelter, posted on facebook that Sammy was found at the beginning of August. It also stated that Sammy was ‘scared’ and nothing but ‘skin and bones’.

"We score horses on a scale of one to ten, he was a two. Approximately 4 to 6 years old with possible a birth defect on his hind.”

The vets wasted no time in treating Sammy as soon as she came into the shelter, but it was Molly who she really took a liking too.

Molly took great care in looking after her new found friend and there were plenty of pictures and videos that caught people's attention. The pair were seen cuddling and stroking each other’s heads.

The video of the animals’ bond has been viewed more than 581,000 times. The post has received more than 16,000 reactions and 12,000 shares.

“Always happy and Molly is your typical Walmart greater [sic]. She loves everyone including all the animals we have on the farm. She especially loves the minis she can reach them much easier,”

“Molly truly has an exceptional sense of knowing when one of the animals doesn’t feel good or sad. So she very gently introduces herself. This is her job and she is very good at it as you can see,”

The shelter where Sammy is being looked after said there is still a long way to go before Sammy makes a full recovery but with Molly’s help, he's doing very well.
