I am just putting the feelers out there for my new forest mare.
Bea is a 17 year old new forest mare, her temperament is absolutely beautiful on the ground, she will stand all day to be brushed.
Bea can be a typical new forest mare when ridden, sometimes she has to have a funny 5 minutes before she will listen but never nasty. She will only rear or at least try when she can't be bothered but with encouragement she is good as gold. She is fine in traffic and nothing phases her, she is very very nosy and likes to see what is going on and where everyone is.
Bea has had an outbreak of laminitis previously but not with me, it is controlled through diet and minimal grazing.
Bea is every so slightly lame at the moment but vets are sure nothing box rest can't solve, unfortunately I am selling her due to what I am wanting to achieve in my ridden career as she was sold to me as a 12 year old only to find she was 16 at the time.
She will walk, trot, canter and pop small jumps. She is a very sensitive mare and will need to build trust, her past is very very vague but she has come on so far with me. The bond we have is incredible and I will only have her to a 5* home.
She can be a ridden Pony but will need someone with the time to allow her to heal, I am sure that she was just up to no good in the field and twisted something.
Hacking or light schooling would be perfect for her
