Mr. Bean 11.2 bay Welsh section a pony. He’s 9 years old based in north Oxfordshire area. This little guy has been with us for nearly 3 years and has bought my son off the lead to trotting and taking little jumps. My son is 8.
This is taken my son a while due to difficulties he has. He is very sympathetic to my unbalanced dyspraxic little man. He has taught my young man to ride.
If it wasn’t for size he would not be going anywhere. He’s a green passport Welsh passport name westfirle Peregrine and would suit a showing home.
He has gone on plenty of in hand lead rein hacks and isn’t bothered about traffic and we have to access a busy a road to get to any bridle paths. He isn’t bothered about water. He’s been to pony camp valleys and will do lead rein Gymkhana games. He’s won a few children showing classes such as cutest pair against some tough competition.
His leader must be a confident leader as he takes his cue from you when on the lead rein. You are his confidence.
Gets along with other ponies in the field and has lived out with a variety of them. Thinks he’s the boss but soon learns when he’s not. Does well in or out but we feel he prefers to be out.
Lunges beautifully. Has lovely movement.
When ridden by my more experienced balanced confident 10-year-old he will canter and take larger jumps he’d make a fabulous little second pony. He’d do a lovely intro dressage test I’m sure. Good to clip and for the farrier up-to-date with injections worming teeth.
My son can go out on the field and catch him on a lead rope easily(I might need a treat) He’s a good doer and we’ve always kept him on restricted grazing although no sign of laminitis ever currently on haleage with no issues . Comes with a couple of rugs but we don’t rug him unless very cold or we want him clean. Priced @ 3
