He is low maintenance, barefoot, good doer, good to catch, load and travel.
Good for the vet, dentist and farrier.
The only thing we have found is he does need sedating to be clipped.
Byrnes is looking to continue his education with his schooling but he is willing and a quick leaner.
When out and about, he prefers the company of others but we have been spending time hacking alone over the summer, he can be spooky hacking on the roads as this is less familiar to him so he will need encouragement and take confidence from his rider. (He will improve the more he goes out, I haven’t done too much with him). He is happy and more relaxed in the woods.
He has been schooled and hacked with an advanced rider to further his education and confidence to which he has gained a lot, and it would benefit him to have a confident and experienced rider to continue with.
He has a nice little jump but this is not something we have focused on but he has been to xc and a clear round and done well with both. Jumped a course of 80m.
Unfortunately I feel Byrnes would benefit from a more experienced rider who could bring him on further as he is a green horse. However, he is willing and will try his best.
