    Light hack or easiest companion

16.1 12 years old thoroughbred gelding.

To handle you can’t fault him, my 3 year old can lead him, he is not a typical flighty/spooky thoroughbred. Good to catch, will stand perfectly alone for farrier, great to tie up and groom. He will load himself and travels perfectly alone or in company.
He really is incredibly easy to do.

For sale as a happy hacker for a lightweight rider or companion. We bought this boy as a first horse for new male rider, we have put a lot in to him but sadly recently discovered he has arthritis in his spine.
We have had xrays taken and vet medicated with steroids upon diagnosis but taking this in to account, we feel it is unfair for him to be ridden by his owner due to weight and balance so he is currently out of work.
He does not like lunging hence we have opted to find a happy hacking home, equally he is the easiest to keep, not a typical tb that struggles in winter so is also an ideal companion although the vet did state there is no reason he couldn’t work.

We bought him as a suitable novice ride but feel he will be better suited to a confident rider. He is in no way nasty-you can lead children on him, excellent in traffic, does not buck rear or bolt but if alone he does occasionally need a bit of reassurance, he is a truly honest horse that will absolutely try his hardest for you.

He prefers to live out as opposed to being stabled. When we bought him we were told he windsucks after feed, we found it to be stress related and when he realised he didn’t have to worry about if/when food was coming he stopped windsucking in the field but this is of course something to bare in mind.

He will only go to the very best home and this is what is important to us so we are open to finding him the perfect home and agreeing terms to suit that home. Happy to discuss in further detail with anyone seriously interested....Read full description
