Equestrian Advice & Guides All Disciplines
Rio has been with me for 10 years an unfortunately due to my personal reasons I need to find him a new home. He has been a lead rein pony for my niece (now outgrown), hacked out, been taken out on rides and lead off one of my bigger horses but primarily used in children's equine assisted therapy programmes and events.
He is a registered British Miniature Horse, approx 37 inches tall and is 12 years of age. He is great with other horses, donkeys, dogs and worked with children as young as 3 years of age.
He does have EMS so needs limited turn out in spring/summer. His weight also needs to be managed as if he becomes obese he is more likely to have laminitis and an EMS flair up which, he hasn't had for over 4 years. He is on limited grazing/turn out until winter months and now he is out with the other horses on a track system. He's out through the day and coralled with access to hay/haylage at night. He isn't on any medication for his EMS, I manage it through diet, offering him salt lick/mineral licks and a feed balancer.
Home is most important for this adorable little pony where he can be loved and hopefully continue working with children. Comes with a wardrobe of rugs, webbing bridle, snaffle and Butlers bridle/headcollar
