Fleur is a 13 year old kwpn warmblood mare.

She has some of the best jumping bloodlines to offer including virdi, quidam de revel and true flyer.
This is a very honest advert about her as I feel she deserves a lovely home where she will be able to make some one really happy.
There are lots of good bits to fleur however she requires the right environment.
I brought fleur last summer for a lot of money.
To use as a broodmare in my little herd. I no longer ride and get my enjoyment from horses from breeding a few quality foals a year she was brought to replace my old warmblood mare who is retiring from breeding now.
I brought her from a lady who had had one stunning foal from her she had her put back in foal to sell as she was no longer going to breed herself. Previously to being used as a broodmare a young lady had her and was jumping/eventing with her she sold her due to uni commitments. I have found her whole history and talked to her old owners.
I believe she was am amazing jumper and really loved it and could have gone a lot further.
Unfortunately fleur finds it hard to settle in my set up she absolutely will not turn out with more then one horse and even than she prefers individual turn out. she is happy with a few horses in the field opposite her but no more then that, any more really upsets her. I know this sound odd as they are herd animals but she really would rather be on her own. As all mine live out it’s very difficult for me to do this.
When she is happy and relaxed she is lovely but when stressed she is not easy to deal with.
She can sometimes be tricky to catch but will easily come for a bucket.
I have never had her living in but I do have stables and she is happy to be in one and she has lived in in the past.
I have never had shoes on her but she is good to have her feet trimmed she is excellent to worm. She is good to clip.
She is a typical mare and pulles faces when putting a rug on and off but dose not actually bite. Same when you groom her she pulls faces she is not overly keen on a lot of fuss.
She is good for the vet with jabs ect and has been good to be examined trough out her pregnancy.
I have never done anything with her ridden work wise. Mine all have a very natural lifestyle and I think she would be more suited to living in with a set routine on a small quite yard or maybe even being kept at home.
She is very good in traffic (never ridden her in it but lead her round the village not fussed on tractor, lorries dogs ect)
I think she would be happier being brought back in to work and having some one to one with someone who wants to have a good jumping horse I think having foals is not for her as it gives them to much time with out handling and she needs a constant calm routine with boundaries to thrive.
She has been tricky to load but travels brilliantly once on and past owner did say she used to load in to anything when she was competing regularly so I think that’s just due to being out of practice.
She will be available after weaning of her foal that’s is due on the 10th of April I am putting this add early as I want to be picky and find her the right home if someone is willing to put the work in they will have a cracking horse.
She has mild sweet itch but easily controlled with a rug and a bit of cream.
Pictures of her at the min are her looking muddy and hairy and pregnant so no harsh judgment.
The picture of her ridden are from about 2018 with previous owner.
She is up to date with worming, farrier, dentist and jabs.
    More pictures available on request
Please absolutely no time wasters at all and no silly offers on her price I realise she needs work and her price reflects this otherwise a horse of her breeding would be a lot more. ...Read full description
