Equestrian Advice & Guides Beginners Advice
Nellie has incredible paces and is very eye-catching so will do very well in the dressage arena. With the right rider she is not far from Medium level now and would certainly run up the levels very quickly, she is entered into her first Elementary. Her lateral work is well-grounded; she has walk pirouette, collected paces and flying changes all mastered and is always ready for the next challenge!
She also has a brilliant jump, she is very athletic and knows her job. We have barely scratched the surface of how talented she is. We know she has evented in the past, but we don't know to what level. She has been cross-country training and absolutely flew, she didn't look at anything! I would happily take her around a BE80 tomorrow, and certainly would be looking at BE100 by next season.
We have taken her to an eventer's challenge at 90 level, and SJ at 90.
Nellie can be quite anxious. She doesn't like hacking very much, she had a road rage incident a little while ago and has lost some confidence. She is starting to regain this with us and needs someone who will hold her hand, and someone who doesn't want to hack predominately.
This girl is an absolute stunner and we would love to have more time to work with her, she's as smart as they come. She's easy to do as long as she's got company. If we had the money for another, I would happily keep her.
