X point-point racehorse till 8 years. Retired due to tendon injury. This is fully healed and has no impact on him now. He passed a 5* vet on 26/10/17 and was cleared for showjumping, eventing and pony club. I've done all sorts with him in the 3 1/2 years I've had him.
I bought him for flat work as he produces a lovely outline in all 3 paces with great rhythm. Walk and canter are his best paces. He has a long stride in walk and smooth canter. Trot work could be developed, as expected of an x racehorse, but is coming along well. There's a video on YouTube of a dressage test I did two years ago. You can see how he's improved in the more recent video. There also a video of when I rode him when I bought him.
He is typically laid back and very chilled... but can be forwarded going and even get excited - so not a novice ride. He has been known to buck when transitioning to canter in the school, so needs someone who can sit to that. To get him concentrating, I keep a contact, ensure he is going forward an keep him occupied with a variety of exercises and pole work. He's regularly had his back checked and recently saw a physio. He's got no major issues considering his point to point history and age. I'm happy to share the report. He enjoys a variety of regular work and routine. I ride him in a snaffle and caveson.
I've worked with him at local dressage and pole work clinics prior to the pandemic. This autumn I took him out a couple of times to a hire school to jump. See the video.
Regularly ridden / exercised.
I have MS, that is not great at the moment. So I'm selling him due to the weakness I have and the associated fatigue. I'm struggling to keep up with the input he needs and enjoys.
He comes with a summer, winter and fly rug. Also a fitted leather dressage saddle that was checked autumn 2020 with saddler. Can also go with his bit, as it took me a while to find one that suited.
Good home essential.
I have a bates jump saddle that was fitted to him - this is an additional £1000.
