He came to us out of racehorse training with a very conscientious yard. They said he could be a little spicy when coming back into work after time off, but we brought him into work after months and months off and he was as chilled as anything! He's been an absolute sweetheart to do in all ways!
He hacks alone and in company, and has been ridden by teenagers and friends with ease.
He is learning about schooling nicely and has been out to do a Prelim test, behaving impeccably.
He has also been out to jump, come second in a cross pole class and jumped round a 50 easily and happily. He has trained around a course of about 70.
Turns out with mares or geldings and has the most adorable and lovable personality!
Wouldn't say he's suited to a novice purely because it would be nice to see him continue his retraining, but at the same time, he's done absolutely nothing wrong with us.
He does have a slight noise in his wind, but this would probably only affect him at the higher and faster end of the sport. He also has a very small sarcoid near his eye, which unfortunately means he won't pass a vetting. However, he has flown through all the other aspects of the vetting, his eyes and heart are good and he passed his flexions easily.
