I very sadly have to find a new home for my lovely, gentle kind and honest girl, Molly, who is no longer able to school or jump due to stifle inflammation. She's level headed, brave, curious and has done everything I've asked of her. She was schooling nicely and enjoying the work, but then developed hind limb lameness on a circle. Investigations by the vet were inconclusive but inflammation of the cartilage between stifle joints was suspected. Stopping work on a circle was recommended. I love to school and ride Dressage, so regretfully, I have to look for a home for her where she can hack, enjoy fun rides, some light hunting, that sort of thing where school work is not involved. Molly's not worried about bicycles, dogs jumping out and barking, motorbikes, kids running toward her (which they all do as she's so adorable!). Molly will readily ride past road works, lawn mowers, prams, and the school when the kids are out playing! She rides the bridleway along-side the A303 Ilminster Bypass, and the bridges over and under the bypass. I can't say she's bombproof with traffic yet, as she's still learning that the busses and tractors aren't monsters, so I usually pull her into a drive or gateway but she'll go past if they stop. She's improving all the time though.
Molly usually hacks alone but is super laid back with another horse too. She's never spun, run-off, bucked, kicked, bitten or been nappy, loads and travels well, great to shoe, with vet and dentist. Up to date injections, shoes and worming. Knowing Molly like I do, I feel the ideal home for her would be for hacking, and lead-rein pony.
She's strong but only really big enough for a 9 stone adult, as she's very short-backed and a 16'' saddle is the largest size her back length will allow. Molly loves TLC and her one-on-one time. If you're looking for a pony to hack 2-4 X's a Molly would be ideal. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS AD IF YOU WANT TO SCHOOL OR JUMP OR THE RIDER IS HEAVIER THAN 9 STONES. SORRY, NO LOANS, LWVTB! Thank you. PS. My Vet is happy to discuss Molly's stifle problem with a prospective buyer.
