Full loan – to move yards (East Anglia Area – Suffolk/Cambs/Herts/Essex/Lincs)

Seeking a long term, full loan for this boy, someone to treat him with love as their own, experienced with this breed please. May suit someone with natural horsemanship skills. NOT FOR NOVICE HOME OR RIDER
Currently out of work and getting fat due to me having a baby and no facilities: I have owned him for over 2 years . He loves to be ridden especially in the school and enjoys jumping. I have only ever jumped under 1.0m due to my confidence, however I know he can go higher when fitter and in full work. He has 3 floaty paces and will offer you lovely outline when in full work. He has been schooled well and knows his job. He could produce a nice dressage test for someone when ready. He will bond with his owner and prefers one to one rather than lots of different people. Previously raced so suitable for ROR.
He has had a bad start in life so has trouble trusting people which is why I am not offering him for sale. For this reason you will need to be prepared to put a lot of time to gain his trust before even attempting to ride, otherwise he has been known to kick, rear and bite in the past. He is a dominant horse both to be handled and in the field and will need a kind, fair but firm approach, not to be bullied. He responds well to consistent routine, handling and fairness. Due to all this he is not a novice ride and does need someone who's knows the breed very well and is prepared to put the time and effort into him. You will not be able to jump straight on and ride away.
Hacking:
He doesn't like hacking at all and gets very nervous. I have hacked with other horses but again he is still not pleased about it. I did get him to the point of walking round the block by myself without him stressing but this was a year ago when I had time and in full time work. So there is a chance for him to hack with the new loaner in time.
Loading:
He doesn't travel well at the moment. 2 years ago I got him going on and off horse boxes lovely and went on first time but because I no longer own one and not been practicing he now doesn't load again. With a few sessions and trust he is likely to do this again.

Home will be checked and references are required; full loan contract will need to be in place. He is not for sale as he has been through a lot and I prefer to remain his custodian to ensure he is taken care of and not passed on to anyone else. He is a long term horse and will require time, patience and a lot of work. If you are prepared to offer this he will follow you to the end of the earth. I have no facilities for trial at my field sadly. We are seeking a long term home so you can take your time to get to know him and enjoy life together.
