We are looking for someone to full loan our boy (to initially stay at current yard in Woldingham. Yard offers assisted DIY, part or full livery) would potentially consider him moving after some time if wanted. This is a very honest post about our gorgeous 13.1hh 13 year old piebald cob gelding. We are looking to full loan him to someone as we cannot bear the thought of selling him but unfortunately my nearly 14 year old has out grown him as she is 5ft 7inch and is just too tall and wants to do more. Our boy can be a bit nervous, therefore needs a confident rider or he is perfect lead rein. He’s fine in the school, enjoys jumping and schooling. He loves to hack but only with others and will not hack alone. He’s not nasty just gets nervous on his own. He travels well but also hacks with the others to local shows. He takes his confidence from his rider. We bought him 3 years ago from a riding school, and it took a while for him to settle in but he loves his current yard now. He’s amazing out in the field with others and he’s very friendly and loving. He likes to be brushed and groomed and he loves a good bath. I ask for a horsey mum because he can be cheeky at times but he’s not nasty. He is now fine with the farrier, however this took a while for him to build up trust and is happy getting him trim (no shoes) every 6 weeks. He is very jumpy with the vet/dentists/clippers
etc however, with us present giving him confidence, we normally get there in the end! We have a fantastic instructor that comes to the yard and she knows him very well if this is needed for your rider! We just want someone else to enjoy him as much as we have for the past 3 and half years! I have included some videos/photos but have a million more if you want to pm me.
