Irish Sports HorseDapple grey Mare - 10 years - 16.3 hands
For Sale through no fault of her own. Beatrice is a well put together Irish Sports Horse - just too big for me.
Bea has hunted in England and successfully worked hounds a couple of seasons ago. She has a bold jump, crosses any country and jumps everything – rails, hedges, ditches etc. She is very well mannered, stands perfectly and happy to go out on point but does not like to be held back. Bea can be strong and is better out in front. She is more than good enough for a huntsman or field master.
Has been to local competitions for SJ and XC at 80cm - 90cm. Won a couple of times XC and won the 80cm winter showjumping league at Morton Equestrian Centre.
Won and placed in working hunter.
Attended Pontispool adult camp a couple of times -
Has scope to go much bigger, loves her work and likes to get on with it. She will take you into any fence.
Good to shoe and box excellent traveller - needs a person to hold whilst clipping
Great to hack out, alone or in company, riding or leading and is perfect in traffic.
Would suit competent bold adult for hunting / Bea is a fabulous allrounder who has been schooled and has the ability to turn her hoof to most jobs.
Can live alone and as part of a herd
Registered Chestnut in her passport
Vacs, back and teeth all checked and up to date
She is too big for me and I'm not as bold as I used to be. I find her too strong to hold out hunting and I'm not very brave!
She is a mare and can be opinionated
Bea reacts to pollen and nods her head whilst hacking in the spring, if she is bought as a hunter, this will not affect her work if she is turned away after the end of the season.
Open to vet and short trial
