Perfect pony for competitive child wanting to win. Archie was once a MGA pony on the GB team but happily turned to a jumping pony/allrounder after I got him 9 years ago, winning everything he enters from 70cm up to 1m with plenty of scope to carry on at 1m+ with a small brave jockey. Archie is also a foot perfect hunt pony, I hunted 2 full seasons on him before I got too tall and started knocking my feet on boundary rails always up front jumping anything put in front of him, however he is also happy to trot at the back with a novice hunter if asked. He is very well schooled and has won numerous dressage and showing events with myself carrying himself in a soft outline with floaty elegant paces. He’s also brilliant to hack alone and in company. Although Archie is near enough perfectly behaved, being a competition pony, he is not suitable for a complete novice as can get wizzy when he knows his job at a show.
Fine to clip/shoe/load, turns out with mares and geldings, nannied my wild yearling in the field without a fuss. Although Archie is 22 he is not high mileage due to having many breaks when I haven’t had time to keep him going, he has got many years of his prime left.
Archie is currently being ridden by a brilliant small rider who has bought him back into work from a year off however she has unfortunately outgrown him, hence why he is looking for a new little person to look after.
Arch is a very special pony to us so he will not be sold to just anyone, the perfect home and rider is most important so proce is negotiable.
