Getting to Ellen Bridge
Take the A66 signposted Keswick until you reach the roundabout on the outskirts of Keswick showing the signpost for A591 Carlisle, take this turning and follow the road along the length of Bassenthwaite Lake to The Castle Inn Crossroads - turn right signposted Ireby and Uldale. Follow the road and after about 1 mile, fork left for Ireby. After about 2 miles you will reach the village. Road very narrow as you go past two houses, then into market square, turn right down to Uldale. Property is situated on the hill on the way down to Uldale on left hand side.
