Sandwath Farm and Mill is an idyllic and private Eden Valley smallholding with around 16 acres, a traditional 3/4 bedroom Cumbrian farmhouse and a converted three bedroom mill house.
This rare and unique opportunity benefits from various large outbuildings, including brick barn with planning permission for a three bedroom holiday let. Located in a peaceful setting around one mile from Glassonby village and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The farmhouse and converted mill house are charming red sandstone properties, believed to date back to the 17th century. The buildings have been sympathetically renovated by the current owner, with wonderful period features remaining, including stone flagged floors and exposed beams. The properties have been beautifully finished and benefit from double glazing and partial underfloor heating.
The farm has a wonderful atmosphere and sense of privacy, set off a quiet lane and surrounded by beautiful Eden Valley countryside and Pennine fell views. The grounds are a haven with red squirrels sited and two tranquil becks meandering through the site, with opportunity for trout fishing and beck side picnics.
The site and outbuildings offer potential for business or equestrian use and the accommodation offers a great deal of flexibility, with scope for further development
