Flashy Welsh Section D Mare

Abergavenny Chantel (stable name Idis) is a quality little mare who would turn her hoof to any discipline.

She has been in the same home since she was 2 years old and was started sensitively as a 4 year old. She has been primarily produced for dressage and is currently schooling at elementary, with scope to continue to advance. Idis is very well bred, with Pennal and Thorneyside lines. She has excellent conformation and could certainly excel in the showing world.

Idis is beautifully behaved in open spaces, on fun rides, and at the beach. She will give a good gallop and come back to walking on a long rein quickly. She enjoys popping a jump, but is a little green and this will continue to be worked on while she is advertised. Idis is highly intelligent, with plenty of welshie character and requires a sensitive, confident rider. She is not suitable for novice riders or anyone seeking a push button ride. She would suit a busy or competition home with a teenager or small adult who can give her a job to do.

On the ground Idis is very well mannered. She will live in or out, and is happy turned out alone or with company. She is barefoot and copes fine with this. She is well behaved for the farrier, dentist, and physio, and tends to fall asleep when being clipped! Idis tends to require two to load her, but then travels extremely well both alone and with company and will happily stand on the box without any worry. She has never been lame, sick, or sorry.

Idis is sadly for sale as she is too small for her current owner.
