Very sad sale of my daughter's pony of a lifetime. She has done just about everything: ODE’S, Eventer challenges, JWS, combined training, Dressage, Showjumping, Clinics, all PC, RC and NSEA activities and has hunted (which she would give someone an awesome day out!).
She has never bolted, reared or done anything dirty. My daughter often schools her bareback either on the flat or jumping and misty is simply fabulous and has a natural ability for lateral work which she loves to learn and always gives 110%. Misty has been competed up to Novice and trains at Elementary at home which I have no doubt that she could also compete at too.
My daughter has tried so many things for the first time with this pony and she simply enjoys life and has a really good attitude to work and their adventures. She is an extremely safe little pony in and outside the school and always has her riders best interests at heart. She has been ridden bitless many times (jumping, bareback, hacking) and has always remained respectful.
They experienced hunting for the first time this year with a teenage friend and behaved exceptionally and respectfully.
She has been hacked by my daughter in company or on her own and is happy to follow or lead. Before misty, my daughter wasn’t keen on hacking but this has changed since having Misty and loves the Independence she can have now and I can be confident that Misty is looking after her. She is not a spooky pony and is great in traffic and meeting sheep, horses and dogs, crosses, railway crossings etc. She has also started hacking her bitless.
She has attended a wide variety of events and championships. She is always happy to perform in these environments without a change in her laid back attitude. Misty has also stayed away at competitions and Pony club camp and Megan always managed her with no assistance required. She’s happy to travel on her own or with company and doesn’t get bothered about her buddy at a competition as she’s quite an independent lady.
We had planned for the pair to do their first BE last year but the event was cancelled and then had to pick up this year however it has been a bit of a wipe out due to Covid!
She rarely touches a pole and is quick against the clock and will turn on a sixpence, with many wins up to 80cm. She is not fazed by anything: water, coffins, steps etc. She is such a fun little pony and will give someone years of joy! I can’t say she’s never stopped however this is never nasty and almost always a miscommunication and will succeed in representing. She has done a bareback challenge at a BS venue which she jumped round clear.
She was brought to teach my daughter the ropes as her first pony and has done that and more but she also has the scope to continue to offer more as she is a competent little mare.
For sale due to my daughter moving onto horses and we are slowly looking to find Misty the perfect home she deserves.
