Alvin

16.2 Irish Thoroughbred (that never raced) and 15 year old gentleman for sale through no fault of his own. He was backed as a rising 6 year old with the same owner until we bought him at 14 years. Alvin has been with us for over a year and has never put a foot wrong. He’s the sweetest and most gentle soul that always wants to please and always tries his best.
 
Alvin loves fuss and wants to be involved. He enjoys dressage and could work at elementary level. His paces are superb and balanced and he’s very responsive to his rider. He loves jumping poles and cross country fences. Alvin would make an excellent eventer as he enjoys all disciplines.
 
He’s never sick or sorry and enjoys his work. He loves hacking and will go alone or in company.
 
Alvin enjoys competing as much as he does hacking out or just having fun. He has been placed at local dressage, local show jumping and has hunted. He loads himself on to a trailer or lorry and travels fantastically well.
 
Good doer holds weight and muscle. He lived out happily in the summer but also loves his stable.
 
This is a genuine and heart-breaking sale because of family circumstances.
 
Alvin is fully up to date with vaccinations and is shod every 6 weeks. He stands to be shod, clipped, groomed etc. He sees dentist every 9 months and has no problems with his teeth.
 
Alvin has a made to fit Ideal Suzannah dressage saddle in black and a made to fit Albion GP saddle in brown that can be sold with him at additional cost along with matching tack.
 
Alvin had a kissing spine procedure done when he was 8 – his previous owner had the operation as a preventative measure rather than to treat a problem. This doesn’t affect him in any way and he’s never suffered any issue with it.
