At his core, he is an older horse, but full of life and eager to please. Despite his age, he remains active and willing, ideal for a rider looking for a steady yet responsive horse. He’s an absolute pleasure to handle, both on the ground and under saddle. He loves to be fussed and cuddled; he will stand and lap up the attention whilst all the children at the stables groom and fuss over him. He is totally safe to be around and used to dogs, kids, tractors, bikes, traffic, machinery and doesn't flinch when we encounter deer on our morning hacks!

He loves nothing more than heading out for a good hack, whether it's alone or in company. He enjoys fun rides and is happy to pop over the odd small jump. While he's not one for high-level competition these days, he's perfect for someone looking for a safe and enjoyable horse for leisure riding. Being a Welshie, he has that cheeky little spark so would suit a teenager or smaller adult who can ride, though he can be lazy often and needs a squeeze - he is very responsive to the leg and schools beautifully.

This gentleman has excellent stable manners, is easy to catch, perfect with the farrier (he is barefoot), tie up, load, etc. He will thrive with a kind and loving owner who appreciates his steady and reliable nature.
