Equestrian Silica Sand

Top quality equestrian grade silica sand sub-angular is doubled washed, this help create a firm and highly stable arena surface, the sub angular sand allows for heavy compaction and good drainage. Our equestrian silica sand is produced to create a high quality surfaces for horse riding arenas and menages. To maintain the firmness of the silica arena sand, it is advised to water the sand during months of dry spells. The surfaces will require a period of settlement before horse riding can begin, this can be made possible by rolling and watering.

A 40m x 20m menage will require 160 tonnes of silica sand to give the recommended depth of 100mm (4 inches depth)
