HorsesLead Rein & First Ridden£ 4,500 ONOMolly
Available is Molly, an amazing Sabino Cob. She is 13.1hh and 8 years old. A confidence building cob who will literally allow you to do anything without a spook. We have had her since she was six years old and has been my daughters first pony. She has been critical in building up my daughter's confidence and riding skills, however she has now taken her as far as she can. We didn’t want to sell Molly as she is literally 1 in a million. Amazing with the farrier who trims her every 6 weeks. Great to clip; even though she will flinch to start with, then after a minute she stands still. For the vet she stands still and doesn’t need sedation for the dentist either - she literally just stands there!
Molly is currently kept outside in a paddock, and loves being with other ponies/horses. She is so calm and when we hay up, she stands at the back and just waits - knowing that she will get some eventually.
She loves being groomed and will often fall asleep whilst she’s being brushed down. No issues with picking her feet up by adult or child.
Her preference would be to go on a nice country hack, with a little canter here and there. But remember she is a cob so cantering all day long is not in her skillset! She is great in a menage and will jump up to 60cm (we haven’t tried her past that) but would struggle to do a 14-jump course as she will literally run out of energy.
Molly has been ridden by a variety of riders from elderly, disabled, and as young as 3 years old! I even think that she knows the person who is on her, as for little riders she will trot on and canter very easily. However, she can also be a pain to get going when she is being stubborn and will require a strong leg or a little flick with a whip.
We can’t say enough good things about her, and I now understand when people create posts and put 5* home only and explain how great their ponies are - because this is Molly.
We would prefer it if someone local was to purchase her, so that we could visit every so often. Someone who has a bit of land and would love her like she deserves.
We would also stipulate that we have first refusal to buy her back at the sale price in case she wasn’t right. We would also provide transportation so we can ensure she gets to her new home safely.
We did trim her lovely feathers off a while ago as she had feather mites, but they are starting to grow back lovely.
She is up to date with her jabs, and had her teeth done last month (July 2021)
Molly will come with all tack which includes Saddle, Bridle, Stirrups and Stirrup leathers, and a few rugs that have just been cleaned and resealed.
Please only respond if you can offer her a 5* home, as we will not let her go to anything less....Read full description
