NEXGEN Sets The Young Horse Standard For 2021
We all know how easily some horses can be spooked by vehicles and loud noises, so when this horse was seen being dragged along by a car it triggered a lot of upset viewers.
On Saturday 2nd September a four-by-four type car was spotted dragging a white horse around a roundabout before turning off and joining a busy junction.
The incident was caught on camera at around 2pm in Cardiff.
In the video footage, the horse is seen struggling to keep up with the maroon car’s speed whilst being pulled by tethers that it was attached with.
The car was travelling with the hazard lights on creating manic queues behind it.
An RSPCA spokesman said: "The video being shared on Facebook of a horse being towed from a car is shocking and extremely dangerous, not only for the horse but for other road users.
“The RSPCA has not received calls about this incident and would urge anyone with further information to contact the RSPCA’s 24-hour advice and cruelty line on 0300 1234 999.”
The RSPCA described the incident as ‘shocking and extremely dangerous’ as the video shows evidence of the horse clearly struggling and becoming very distressed especially with all the overwhelming noises.
