Need to transport 3-4 a time or just prefer bigger stall space when travelling?
Do you find running a box in winter trickier than summer, keeping it ticking over, remembering to run it when weather gets cold, or fed up with the maintenance cost of a wagon, plating, fuel, starters, batteries, etc...
Well back in February I traveled to Germany and bought a FANTASTIC 2019 CHEVAL LIBERTE OPTIMAX 4stall trailer.
But I just no longer need it. I bought it for multi purpose and for a particular trip in June. Knowing full well I would be better parting with it down the line.
For those not familiar with Cheval’s suspension system then omg it makes such a difference to the horses, they travel super.
I collected this one from Germany as it was the only one i could find that had the spec I wanted and rear lockable full height Barn Style doors. I liked the fact I could lock the horses up safe and sound and it’s great for when you’re parked up on a windy show ground you get to stay out of the elements!
Barn doors with windows
High security tack room door lock
The horses hop up into in far happier than with a ramp even my little Silver who’s 32inches tall! But a sliding ramp could easily be added underneath if required.
The tack area at the front is roomy, fits 4 saddles bridles boots rugs pads water nets toilet and still enough space to change too.
As I damaged my foot in March the trailer has had a horse in it only a handful of times and collected my mother’s sofa once!
I have towed it with an Toyota Landcrusier both the 3.0l and V8 and it tows so well. Most pickups and 4x4s have a 3500kg pulling capacity now so its well within the range of most vehicles.
I’m not in a hurry to sell it but it’s just a sensible decision for me when I just don’t really need it anymore.
