Lemon is the ideal children’s pony and is substantial enough to carry small adults easily. She is also suitable for novices and would be a perfect family pony to have fun and learn on.

She is a sturdy cob and has the quiet and unproblematic temperament everyone wishes for.

She is fantastic to do on the ground, great for the farrier, stands all day to be groomed and fussed with. Happy stabled or turned out, on her own or with company. She catches easily and is handled by children 99% of the time. She has an old head on young shoulders.

To ride, lemon is a plod. She is suitable for novices as she has a calm nature and is unfazed by almost everything. She can walk, trot and canter in the school and can jump. She has been brought along by a variety of riders who have all enjoyed her. Mostly ridden by children of 8 and 9 years of age. She has also been ridden by teenagers and small adults. Lemon has even given children who have never ridden, their first experience of sitting and riding a pony.

Lemon is bomproof to hack out. She keeps up with other horses and is so well behaved in all types of traffic. Lemon is a very genuine pony and has no malice in her at all, the sort of pony you can jump on bareback with a head collar and rope coming in from the field.

Very sadly and reluctantly outgrown, a loving home is priority for this sweet mare.
