Daphne is an eye-catching, beautiful pony with a pretty head and outstanding conformation. She is built to jump and makes a super shape over a fence, with natural style, pick up/tuck and a very careful recovery/landing.

We broke Daphne in as a 4 year old and she has been ridden by my very competent teenage daughters and competed by them in showjumping competitions at 60, 70 and 80 cm and she gets placed almost every time out. She has qualified for Trailblazer Championships this year at 60 and 70cm. Daphne has been jumped over 1 metre courses at home and these have included big gates, all kinds of fillers, rustic jumps and water jumps. She is exceptionally bold and brave and tackles anything that is put in front of her with enthusiasm.

Daphne has done lots of hacking and has hacked up to 10 miles at a time, cantered across open fields, on stubble, jumped fences when out, ridden through woods and ridden on country roads with farm machinery. She is good to hack alone and in company.

Daphne has done a couple of dressage competitions at intro and prelim level and came 5th in her first ever test. She is very calm at competitions and loads, travels and waits on the box without any fuss. She is good in the collecting ring and warm up and doesn't get over excited or fizzy.

She is a very chilled out pony to handle, good to do in all ways and has no vices ridden or in the stable. She turns out with mares and geldings and stables happily next to anyone.

Daphne has lovely paces, moves nicely and has a flashy trot. She has no old or new injuries, lumps, bumps, scars or sarcoids and has always been sound. She is open to any vet or trainer.

I think Daphne will make a super British Showjumping pony in the future. My daughter rides BS but is out of ponies now and so cannot jump Daphne affiliated showjumping.

Daphne would make a fabulous pony club/riding club/family pony and will be a great all rounder. She could easily be trained for polo, horse ball or eventing - she really is very adaptable and has a trainable, quick-to-learn temperament.

Daphne is still young and needs to gain experience but is ready to go out and do things now. She is a fast learner and could learn and improve together with a child having some guidance from a trainer. She has the scope to jump very large fences in the future.

Daphne can be tried in our sand school, out hacking, or at a show. I think she would suit a reasonably competent child off the lead-rein and for jumping, as she is a forward going ride. She would be fine on the lead rein but would be rather wasted as a lead rein pony!

Her price includes a Pessoa saddle and her bridle.
