Equestrian Advice & Guides Beginners Advice
Opal is a beautiful 3 year old 15.2hh approx bay TB mare. She was bought by me as a 2 year from the field and was never backed or trained in anyway before coming to me so full history known. She is well put together with three correct paces, clean limbed and has good feet. Opal has started the back process and has been done slowly and correctly. She lunges and long reins like an absolute dream, is happy going over poles or between fillers, she has also had a rider on board walking and trotting independently. She is now ready to go to someone who wants something to put their own stamp on but has already done the basics and has been proven to be sensible. I can not overstate how great this little mare is to work with, every time she does something new she just gets it, you can leave her for over a week and just pick her up again like she was worked yesterday. She is easy to box, shoe, catch etc. She wintered out last year no problem with a decent rug and some hay in the field so is much easier to look after than the typical TB.
