Beautiful TB mare Maisie for sale to no fault of her own

For sale through no fault of her own, the prettiest thoroubred you will ever see, Gleaming Maize (Maisie). Unfortunately she is not suited to living with a herd of fatties and needs a home that can provide her with ad-lib hay. Maisie has been off the track for 2 years and has calmed down considerably in that time. She has a lovely, sweet willing nature, and once she understands what you want from her, throws herself at the task. We have been training with natural horsemanship and positive reinforcement methods and she has progressed very nicely, although she still has lots to learn. She is beginning to school nicely, and works calmly, standing at the mounting block and walking off nicely. She has 3 beautiful paces. Currently she is still nervous going out hacking, even in company, but with time I believe she will be a good hacking horse, once she knows the area and has trust in her owner. With her long stride and strong legs she could be a great endurance prospect. Good home more important than price, but her price will go up as training progresses. She is not suitable for novices, and we would prefer she goes to a home knowledgeable of ex-racers. She is currently barefoot and has been doing very well in just front boots when out on rocky trails. Can gallop over rough, rocky ground in the field so would prefer she stay barefoot; will include a pair of boots for her new owner to help with this.
