Louis (Passport name- Giant) 16.2 KWPN gelding 9 year old
Louis has been with me for nearly 6 years and we have done a little of everything.
He has been out of work for around 6 months due to me having a baby in January. Unfortunately now I do not have the time to dedicate to him that he needs.
He would suit a rider who is confident and has the time to dedicate to him to bring him on. He is a type that needs ridden pretty much everyday. He doesn’t get silly if left just needs to keep active mentally. He isn’t strong at all and has a lovely soft mouth, but he is sharp so not suitable for a novice rider. He can be quite spooky but is better when worked daily.
Louis has excellent bloodlines, great grandfather is Darco. His full siblings showjumping at a high level. He has show jumped unaffiliated up to 1m and jumped a couple of British Novice classes in the summer. He is very careful and he rarely touches a pole. He has the scope to jump a lot higher, has trained over 1.20cm. He just needs more training and consistency to build his confidence. He has also jumped arena eventing fences but this is not something I have down recently. His trot and canter are good and he can perform a lovely medium trot. He just needs a bit more attention to transitions etc. He hacks out in company and is absolutely fine with motorway bridges/lorries/ tractors. It’s the leaves and birds in the hedge that can spook him!
He is good with the farrier. He has front shoes only as back feet are good, I have had all 4 shod in the past but found he doesn’t need them.
Louis is a very beautiful horse with a lot of ability, he just needs to find the right rider.
I have never had him in a trailer/wagon so this area would need work.
