The Ultimate Equestrian Christmas Gift Guide 2023: Unwrap Joy for Horse Lovers!
Equestrian Advice & Guides All Disciplines
We have had Barney since a 3yo, he was a pleasure to back, took everything in his stride and never bucked, reared or bolted. He was schooling well and showed promise. He has 3 beautiful paces and showed enthusiasm for jumping. He popped a few small fences with rider but mainly on the lunge. He has hacked out previously alone and with another.
He lives on a busy working farm so has been exposed to a lot, is generally not spooky but the odd thing ‘sneaking up’ behind him can cause him to turn to look. Once’s he’s allowed to look he is fine.
Videos of him in work can be sent.
Good to handle. He loves human attention, enjoys a pamper and is the first at the bottom of the field when called.
He can occasionally show ‘babyish traits’, ie can be fidgety when tied up but does settle. He has been clipped but still needs experience and patience in this area. Good for farrier, vet and good to bath.
He currently is out 24/7 in the summer and has day turnout In the winter but would settle into any routine.
He has a scar on his lower rear leg, affects nothing more than appearance and can see vet report on the injury if required.
Barney has been out of work for about 6 months due to personal circumstances. He has heaps of potential and we think it’s unfair to keep him if we don’t have the time to give him the consistency he deserves.
He would thrive with an experienced rider so can keep him in full time work that keeps his brain working.
We have loads of pics and videos of him we can send.
Viewings welcome but please don’t expect to ride him as he’s being sold not in work.
