The most heart braking ad I’ve ever had to write.
The only way I can describe Tom is simply the most genuine and simply amazing horse.
Tom is 11yr old and he is a Welsh D x Trotter, 15.2hh. I brought him 6 years ago and it hasn’t been until the last 2 years where I’ve really put him into work!
What has he done;
Hunter Trials (both pairs and individual)
Dressage - Dressage really isn’t his “thing” but he’s done it and come away with a couple of wins, his scores have always been in the high 60s.
Jumping - His favourite thing is to jump for sure! He will happily jump a course of 80, I have jumped him at 90 and 1meter. If your looking for a horse that’s quick Toms your boy! He’s quick but not silly and still has breaks.
Hunter Trails - he’s done a couple of hunter trials and actually won the pairs hunter trial this summer at Rockinghamforest, he’s done Brent Pelham and Tetworth.
Sponsored Rides / Hacking - Toms done so many sponsored rides and he’s simply amazing! He’s not fizzy or strong, he doesn’t care if horses canter last him, he did RAF Halton in 2017 and he pretty much flew every jump plus the plane! He’s done two beach rides this year and he loves it! Takes him a couple of minutes to get into the sea but once he’s in he’s in! He will hack out alone or in company, lead or be at the back.
Tom is pretty much an all rounder. However because of the Trotter part in him, he finds his balance (more in canter than anything) slightly tricky, but he will work his heart out for you!
He isn’t a novice ride as he does require a confident rider. He’s great to clip, can clip him without being tied up! Great with the farrier and dentist. Loads well and travels brilliantly. Will happily live with mares and geldings or alone, if he’s with others he’ll always be bottom of the pack. He’s so easy on the ground, I’ve had children bring him in! Brilliant with dogs..
I honestly can’t praise this horse enough, he’s taken me on so many adventures and given me so many smiles and happy memories, but I feel I want to really push myself to go further and Toms not going to be wanting to jump a meter consistently and I wouldn’t want to put him through that.
I’m happy to answer any questions, send pictures and videos.
I will be vetting homes, as he’s not going to go anywhere with anyone! He’s a horse in a million and deserves the world....Read full description
