Ernie is a 13 hand ( approx ) 7 year old mantelpiece model of a cob he is just WOWTalk about well put together and a super infact not super " amazing " mover would be perfect in the show ring.
Ernie only arrived with us from the riding school where he has been for the past 18 months but found he didn’t have enough use, he would be too much for a beginner and so was replaced with a bigger pony who had more use. We sold him 18 months ago to the riding school and prior to that he was from a family home where he had been much loved teaching his little rider to ride and giving all the other little riders on the yard so much fun.
He arrived with a glowing reference and such a sad sale unfortunately his little rider preferred a motorbike.
We have been in touch with previous owner who can’t say enough good about him and he is also broke to drive.
Ernie is a cracking little cob who as you can see from the photos takes an adult very easily too.
Very sweet nature genuine lad who has passed his assessments here at CnG.
He is a very well mannered lad and not a cheeky or pushy type. He’s as gold to catch, tack up, groom, mount, Bath etc but just feel it would be nice to find someone to be as polite as he is.
Loads and travels perfectly, kind, genuine and loves his life.
Enjoys his work he's so happy as soon as it's his turn, when he arrived here we jumped straight on bareback with head collar only and rode him to the other yard and he was absolutely great.
First ride here he went hacking and literally FAULTLESS.
Since then he has continued to show us just heat a great little cob he is.
Rides up front, behind. Will hack alone. Good in the heavy traffic, not spooky. Really enjoyable hack and a snaffle mouth. He is a very polite pony in general.
This lad moves fantastic you can't take your eyes off him. He carries himself so well, natural outline, super trot and great little canter.
This lad is so unspoilt, he is not sick of work infact he enjoys it, he rides so well in general but on the flat he’s magic and has had some schooling put into him. His mane is shorter than natural length but if you grew this back to full length she would be a little traditional show cob.
Very easy to ride but not a plod or a beginners pony. He jumps and he pops everything with no hesitation straight over the fillers never bats an eye lid with a fab little pop in him. I honestly think he would be great for pony club, he pops everything that any other pony would.
All the show jumps, fillers, water trays, XC fences. He is so light on his feet that although he has feather and would be a super show cob he would also be a great competition pony too.
Sensible. Snaffle mouth doesn't get strong he really does ride like a little horse.
Super sort who is so unusual at his size.
