We have owned our beautiful Isobella for 20mths now and sadly our daughter is getting too big for her. We have done pretty much everything with her. She is a very sweet, good fun pony who is happy to please. She is currently kept at our home on our small yard with our 5 others. She is currently turned out alone as we have pony size paddocks but she has been turned out with my 3 shetland geldings with no problem.
XC - we have taken her to a couple of local XC courses quite a few times since we have had her & my daughter has had lots of fun popping logs & tyres ect at around 50/60cm. She doesn’t like the water but she will go in off a lead & my daughter has got her in a few times.
We have taken her to the beach & weirdly she is happy to gallop through the water!
Hacking - she happily hacks alone or in company, my daughter has had many a flat out blasts on her and always has managed to pull her up no problem at all. We regularly have lessons near us where my daughter also uses the gallops and goes around them alone & they both love it.
SJ - we have taken her to some local shows on grass & in an arena. My daughter has jumped some 70/80 classes on her but we feel her sweet spot is 50/60 although with a more confident rider she would jump bigger. She also seems happier jumping on grass than in a school although don’t let this put you off as she will jump in a school!
Dressage - This is where we feel Isobella is at her happiest, has talent & definite potential. When we purchased Isobella she has been schooled to elementary level but our daughter has been competing her unaffiliated intros & prelims as she is not at that level yet. She has a super little trott with flicky toes. A more advanced rider has competed her at the higher prelims & novice level & gained 69/71%. Jessica our daughter has been scoring anything between 67/70% for the intros & prelims. They have taken part in BD Quest this year where her team made it 4th out of 20 & just missed going to the nationals by a few points. She also took part in a local championship unaffiliated where Jess was placed 4th out of 19 riders.
We have taken Isobella up to the BYRDS camps at Parwood in Surrey where Jess has had lessons with top instructors & taken part in pole clinics.
We have just bought an inky dinky saddle and we have led our toddler around the garden on her.
We travel her in our 3.5 ton lorry and she is an absolute angel to load and travel. We have never tried her in a trailer so I don’t know what she is like on one.
She is barefoot, trimmed every 6 wks & has problem free feet. She is a good doer & is current just on Happy Hoof with a vitamin supplement. She is pleasant to handle/catch/groom, can get nippy when girth is being done up but soon listens when you tell her no. She has never been sick or lame or had laminitis with us. Up to date on her vaccinations. Fabulous to clip, does not need sedation or twitching just a big fat hay net!
Price includes tack (wintec saddle & bridle)
