I bought Elsie back in February with the plans to get her back to her happy self and then find her a fabulous home, within half an hour of meeting her I fell Inlove and she was staying for good!! But sadly due to lack of time and now confidence my work with Elsie has come to a stand still which isn’t good for either of us.
Elsie has had a lot of time, effort and money into her to get her where she is now and if produced further in the right hands I believe she’ll make someone the perfect competition horse.
Elsie has perfect stable manners and always wants love and will follow you around like a puppy and she is not mareish in anyway.
When Elsie is in full work (hacking) she never puts a foot wrong and always aims to please she’s unsure of a lot of things but that’s because most of the time she’s never seen it before but with reassurance she will walk on perfectly
Now bad points
When Elsie isn’t in regular work she turns into a typical TB ( if there is such a thing) she’s not doing it to be nasty she just has a lot of go and doesn’t want to plod or go at all so she will throw in rears and bucks which I can still remain seated to but with the one fall I have had in her since ever owning her I now worry to much which doesn’t help.
Elsie has never seen a school since I owned her so with that she’s a blank canvas
She has slight broken wind so I was told when I bought her but it doesn’t affect her in anyway. She only makes a slight noise when she’s working herself up about something otherwise it never makes a appearance even when fully worked.
Elsie is the most kind a gentle horse I know and I’m absolutely gutted to be writing this but I’m struggling to find someone decent to help me and now my confidence is gone I’ve got to do what’s best for us both...Read full description
