Only selling due to pregnancy so won't be competing.
We know this lorry inside out, partner upgraded everything over the 5 years we've owned it. So many fantastic things about this lorry but I will try to name a few here:
2.5L Desile Ford transit. Banana engine very reliable
3.5t long wheel base!!
Massive inside- UNUSUAL TO FIND
Fantastic conversion. Space feels like a 7.5t lorry but drives like a 3.5t
I use it to take 17hh event horse + my 12hh pony (due to legal payload) even though it could easily take 2 large horses.
Easily takes 2 smaller horses or extra partition can be added it take 3 ponies
Drive on a standard car license, no need for further tests.
Power steering - really easy to maneuver and reverse
Driven by 4f 11 young lady for the last 5 years
I store tack and tack box over luton so loads of space for all my eventing kit, 2 saddles etc. You could add saddle racks but I prefer saddle mates so we didn't bother. 6ft8 x 3ft5 wide so lots of room!
Beautiful coach painted and decals added 2016. Spare touch up paint provided.
Cheap insurance £200 per year.
BSi Graded Whitewood scaffold boards size 38 mm flooring. Checked everytime but in immaculate condition. Mats overlaid.
Starts first time every time
Eyecatching and always get compliments where ever I go
It has an easy ramp to do by one person helped but the springs. Reinforced ramp with rubber mat see photos.
I have used nearly every weekend for the last 5 years
Previous owner had it stalled for cart and 2 ponies. I also have done so myself with my own pony and cart and it fits easily due to the size in the back!
Horse area is 6ft 11 high. 6ft 8 wide. 12ft 8 long.
Largest horse area stalled for my 17hh is 10ft 4 diameter!
Low mileage 104k miles
Ideal to get changed in the front section of the back area so you are staying dry and warm whilst waiting for your class! I always tack up in the lorry and hzve plenty of room to move around even my my huge hunter in there!
Never been stuck in the mud- stewards dream!
I've taken it all round the country competing and qualifying for HOYS. It's very economical and comfy to driver for long periods of time.
There is a padded breast plate and interior lights added for horses comfort and easy to see when coming home in the dark
We added a large spot light LED to the back last year to aid reversing in the dark
This lorry is rear load and unload - box is wide enough to do this with ease. Just like a 7.5t lorry.
Partition can be moved around to accommodate different size horses and ponies or add another partition to give you even more possibilities.
Perspex roof so lovely and light and airy very desirable, a lot of people comment on how inviting this is for the horse.
All horse and ponies travel comfortably and really well. Even friends difficult loaders have gone straight in.
Large back window with metal bars which is perfect for summer when you need fresh air coming in.
2 smaller windows at the back for extra ventilation
3 seats in the cab
2 sets of keys
First aid kit
Spare wing mirrors
2 spare wheels
Jockey door access to/from the exterior
Jockey door access between the breast bar so you can go in and out between partition.
External and internal D rings for tying up
Horse travels herringbone facing backwards which is known to be the best and most comfortable way for a horse to travel
stays lovely and warm in the winter due to perspex roof
Wipeable large back wall for the inevitable horse poo!
Living area could be added easily but I don't sleep away so I didn't bother. Prefer to know that horse is comfortable as I still have loads of room in the back. It's almost like a stable which is kinder to you horse if it's standing around for hours at an event
Torque indicators on wheels
New number plate and lights
Oil waxed underneath
To name a few things it had a full service since owning, rear breaks, handbrake cable, exhaust, tyres, front and rear windscreen, front and rear headlights and upgraded tail board.
MOT due Feb 2020
