51 reg, diesel engine with 177K on the clock, this 3.5 tonne horsebox drives really well and starts easily. The clutch and brakes feel excellent. Comes with a new MOT.
We are the first owners of this new conversion. It can be driven on a car driving licence and as someone who had never driven anything other than a car, I have loved driving this van – it is so easy to use – just load and go. Although I have transported a 15hh horse in it, I would suggest that it is more suited to anything up to 14.2hh as it has an insulated roof.
In the driver’s cab there are three seats, all with fabric in good condition and CCTV monitoring the horse area.
The area for the horse is wide and rear facing and has a secure partition and also a jockey door and removable chest bar leading out of the back of the van as an alternative exit route in case of emergency. The doors to shut the horse area can be easily handled by one person and are also lockable. At the rear of the vehicle is a generous space for tack with two opening windows and two saddle racks.
The horsebox has a new battery and starts very well. It has a quiet engine, a solid, under-sealed chassis and has just had its suspension overhauled.
