17h 19year old weight carrying mare

19 year old 17hh heavy set mare, with a lovely temperament, horses like her are hard to find in the current market. She's been semi retired for most of the year with the occasional hack here and there. She has recently been bought back into light but more regular work and has been an absolute star! She is predominantly a happy hacker which she has been for many years so I believe a home where this is the goal would benefit her most. She does school at walk and trot nicely, canter does need more work however, it is just a case of getting her into it and keeping her going (she canters happily and consistently while hacking). In the year she has been with us she has been nothing but and absolute sweetheart! She's an easy keeper who is happy in any routine! Happy to live in or out, in a mixed herd or on her own she isn't picky in the slightest. In her time here she has been ridden by a vast variety of riders, from experienced to to a novice and is fantastic with everyone. She's great in all traffic and has seen everything from motorbikes to forage harvesters and couldn't care less! She's perfect to handle in her stable and loves all the cuddles and kisses she can get. She's good to load and travel (travelled in a 7.5 tonne lorry with us)

She does require a patient farrier but this is only because she can get bored and put her foot down every now and again, however she is not malicious in the slightest. She is currently barefoot and always has been so nice and easy to keep. Only for sale due to a change in circumstances, someone will be extremely lucky to have this big lovely girl as she truly is a very genuine and kind mare.
