Breeze is a 16hh 10yo Thoroughbred who I have owned for 5 years, this is a very hard sale for me, still not sure I want to do this!!! During the time I have had her she's competed up to elementary level dressage, (normally scores 70% at novice and has scored 80%) and is schooled to medium, with very established lateral work, very comfortable (sitting trot is easy) with a light mouth. SJ at 1.10, XC at 1m she absolutely loves jumping and is very honest, bold, will jump anything and will help you out if you need her to! She has the scope to go much higher, has schooled over 1.40 jumps and novice XC fences, just lack of funds has prevented me from affiliating her. She's very easy to handle, incredibly polite on the ground and in the stable (you can wander off leaving the stable door wide open and she won't come out) Brilliant to hack, normally in the lead as she has a fantastic walk, but will happily go behind if you need her too. Great alone or in company. Not too keen on fast bikes or tractors but has never refused to go past anything with bit of encouragement. Not spooky. She has also been to a couple of side saddle lessons as I wanted to have a go at it, which she felt amazing doing. She's done a lot of riding club activities, and was always on teams. Exactly the same away at shows as she is at home, you can get on her after a couple of weeks off, and will be the same. She's been ridden by my 8yo cousin, jumped by a 12yo. Really looks after everyone on her, adapts to her rider - although I'm not looking to sell her to a novice. Forward going without being whizzy (would never know she was a racehorse) Eligible for ROR, and has qualified for the national championships at Aintree twice, unfortunately holidays already booked in got in the way of going. Very easy to catch/load/clip/bath/ trim etc etc. She's been on every variation of lorry but not any trailers. Travels very well, and will stand on the lorry on her own if you take others away. She would be perfect for someone coming off ponies, a mother/daughter share etc or someone who just wants to have a horse they can trust to just go out and have fun with, a good home is absolutely paramount to me and I love her very much, so would prefer someone experienced, no-one heavy handed or people who just want to jump a horse every single day! Two professionally fitted saddles are available for £1000 for both- a leather Kent and Masters dressage saddle brought brand new for her 3 years ago. And a leather Prestige Jump saddle which has been heat moulded to her template. Both of these saddles have been checked yearly and are adjustable still, Dressage saddle comes with an extra gullet. Happy to answer any other questions I haven't already answered in this essay, message me anytime! I have countless videos and pictures, so if you want to see a specific thing I've probably got it somewhere!
Unfortunately after finding Breeze a lovely home where she could go and teach her next rider, she failed the vetting on a very slight hind limb lameness. I have since had this x-rayed and the vet discovered a small change in her hock, it is very manageable and is not affecting her work, the vet has said we can carry on as normal, which we have been doing, happy to answer any questions about it. I understand that without a vetting she isn't worth the amount of money I was originally asking, so have reduced her price. I'm unwilling to go down any further, as to me she is worth her weight in gold, and I would rather just keep her!
Video of her jumping 1m & 1.10 classes at Boyton hall on 26th July can be found here:
