16hh 14yo PRE gelding with potential

IN SEARCH OF EXPERIENCED HOME

16hh approx - 14 year old - Spanish PRE - grey - gelding

Available to an experienced home with plenty of time to spend with him, as we feel he will benefit from a one-on-one home. He is not a first horse and we want him to go to a 5* home.

Pedro has been well-schooled; he is established in walk, trot and canter and enjoys popping small jumps, as well as basic lateral work. We have hacked him alone and in company around our woods (not on roads), and schooled him in our indoor and outdoor schools, alone and in groups. He is good to lunge and ride when in regular work.

On the ground, Pedro requires a confident handler as he likes to express his own opinions and this can be challenging. However, once a bond is established he enjoys a good groom and a fuss. He would definitely benefit from lots of groundwork. He is good for farrier (unshod) and vet, and lives out all year round. We haven't clipped him.

With the right owner, Pedro could be a fantastic all-rounder, but he needs lots of time and work to get him to that point. He needs to have a job and not be left in a field, as he thrives on regular, varied work. He's a big character and could make the right person very happy!
