I have owned Teddy since he was 15 and in that time he’s proven to be a genuine schoolmaster with talent and character. Teddy is the same horse whether he is ridden every two weeks or every day, which is rare in a Warmblood. He had some time off at the beginning of the year as I hurt my back and after 4 months off rode as if he was ridden yesterday. He is incredibly sweet and genuine, loves being out in the field and is well mannered in the stable.
He has been used to nanny my Arab colt and has been absolutely incredible at this, showing him the world on inhand walks (motorbikes, push bikes, umberellas, ball pits, tractors, heavy traffic, dogs) showing him how to load and travel, how to come to call and generally how to be a horse. He is excellent to load/travel - simply walks straight on - and is fantastic for the farrier/vet and dentist.
Teddy is a fantastic show jumper, makes a beautiful shape over a fence, with lovely paces on the flat. Jumped up to 1.35m at home with me and competed up to newcomers with previous owners and would be the perfect schoolmaster/first competition horse. He is a horse that is incredibly in tune with his rider and goes impeccably when ridden properly; requires a competent rider with experience as he isn’t a novice ride due to his breeding but has never bucked, kicked, reared, bitten or bolted with me and I have used him as a first ridden for my novice boyfriend. He is fab to hack in company, and I’ve never had an issue on my own or leading my youngster. He is up to date with his back, teeth, vaccines, shoes, worming etc.
Homes will be vetted and a contract of first refusal to buy back will be agreed.
