Mick was started in Ireland and has had a short time turned away to be a horse since arriving over here. In Ireland he had been introduced to XC fences on a surface and the odd showjump. (Have Videos)
He’s now been back into work since being with us for the last 6 weeks.
He moves beautifully and has three balanced paces. He has come on so quickly on the flat and is well established for a 4y/o. Showing potential for dressage.
Hacking he is proving to be a saint! We have hacked him alone and in company on the busiest roads. Not a spooky type at all. Hacks on the buckle. Has been hacked out by my 16y/o jockey with no company.
He has jumped a few single fences with us. Proving to be bold and brave!
I really do believe he will make the most fantastic hunt horse but definitely a huge potential to produce him for eventing.
He is extremely kind on the ground however he can be slightly nervous of new people. He is very loving with us but took him a couple days to trust us. In general, he is very very quiet on the yard and to handle. Happy as long as he has food!
His only downside currently is that he can be slightly nervous when mounting. He has not done anything wrong so far… just tenses up. This is improving and I don’t believe it will be an issue in time. For this reason, absolutely no novices/nervous riders. He definitely needs a rider he can gain confidence from who can produce him to his full potential. There is absolutely no nastiness in this horse whatsoever and I do believe he will be a horse of a lifetime for someone!
