Glice is my stunning welsh section d, 8 year old gelding. He stands at 15.2hh and still has plenty of filling out to do. I bought him as a winter project to bring back into work and he’s is now in regular ridden work.
To hack out he is a dream, being totally unphased by any kind of traffic. We hack out regularly alone and in company and he is always a very good boy. He’s once or twice tried to nap in the direction of home but I just pull him round and get my leg on and we are back on our way.
In the school he is very willing and will walk, trot and cantering and will pop a course of jumps. We’ve jumped about 70/80cm at home. He listens to your leg and is very responsive. He’s thrown the odd buck in the school out of excitement but not enough to dismount me. He has been ridden and schooled by a 14 year old and her mum and would make a lovely mother/daughter share.
Ive taken him out jumping and hunting and he was great to travel, very sensible with the other horses and hounds. He’s seen an indoor arena and warm up and is learning with it all. Again an odd buck out of excitement but over all a good boy.
Previously to me owning him, he’s done hunting, beach rides, fun rides and cross country fences and did enjoy jumping so he would be an excellent show jumping/ hunting or xc prospect for someone.
He’s good to catch, very polite in the stable and was a dream for the farrier. I have a school here and easy local hacking for anyone wanting to try him. I could include some tack if required. He is up to date with worming, vaccines, Chiro/physio and farrier.
