Betty is such a trier, with a good head on her shoulders, she will have a go at anything with the right attitude and a willingness to learn. She is green in the school but this is improving so quickly, again attempting everything I ask her to do, we are quickly learning alot through flatwork and the occasional intro dressage test - she has the potential to be a superb all rounder/low level eventer. She can jump although she needs work in this area, patience but confidence is key with her as she is so in tune to everything under saddle.
Betty is an absolute gem on the ground, she is so sweet and will love anyone, frequently standing to let my younger sister amd her non-horsey friends groom her. She is a pleasure to muck out around and isn't mareish at all, she will move when asked to and will tuck herself into the corner to stay out of the way with the occasional wander over for head scratches.
She is an absolute gem in traffic, not shying from farm machinery, building and road works, busy roads and motorway bridges. However cows in hedges do worry her a bit but she just looks and will go past under control. She has never bolted with me on the road and will quite happily go for miles.
I have recently had her vaccines done which she was a star with, was not fussed at all and was more interested to see if the vet had any treats in her pocket. She will stand for the farrier but a slow introduction is necessary, she does better with someone at her head to reassure her - again its nothing nasty she just gets a bit worried. Betty is currently barefoot and i am unsure how she would be with shoes as with her current workload she doesn't need them. Betty will load but it may take a bit of convincing, it's best I someone leads her in and someone else guides from behind. She will travel fine once in the trailer/box and doesn't barge when unloaded.
She has had the winter off work as my workload increased, I am now bringing her back into work slowly and she is loving every second of it.
Betty will come with a full wardrobe including rugs and accessories. I am more than welcome to answer any questions just pop me a message and I'll reply as soon as I can.
