14HH New Forest Pony

Fernyknap Hawthorn, aka Thorns is looking for a full time job. He loves to work. Preferable for a light weight adult/ mother and daughter share or a confident youngster.

Hé has been out on a long term loan after our daughter outgrew him, we are currently schooling him on Novice level and he is a quick learner.
Thorns is NOT a first pony, he is super talented but you need to tunnel his energy and keep his brain ticking over.
He has done it all, pony club, XC, SJ and endurance. if he stays longer with us he will start dressage competition. Thorns hacks out in group and alone. He loads himself on a horse trailer, is good with farrier and dentist. He isn’t too keen on male veterinarians but nothing naughty. This pony has not a bad bone in him, never bucks, kicks or rears.
I enjoy riding him as he is smart, responsive of the leg and has great movement. However he needs a more fun home (read XC) than schooling and dressage, which is what I or my daughter like best.
