Please read carefully before you call.
Connor is the sweetest little pony you could meet, he is gentle & kind & has never put a foot wrong in the time i have owned him.
I bought connor for my son last year as a riding pony that had been turned away for a couple of years in a field.
Unfortunately upon arrival it became clear very quickly that hes had a bad experience and been quite badly abused by his previous owner. I am happy to elaborate via telephone call.
It is my belief he has not been ridden beforehand and was running with mares.
I made a decision that I would not return him, do the right thing by him and work through it as he deserves everything & despite the bad experience hes had hes extremely loving-then find him a forever home with a little jockey that wants a pony with a heart of gold.
Despite him being nervous, hes been the most gentle and kind pony since the day he arrived and he is a pleasure to own.
Hes totally come round and is brushed and handled by my son and other children on the yard. Hes well mannered and would stand all day to be brushed and fussed.
Hes easy to lead, easy to load, pick feet etc.
Ive worked with him loads on the ground and hes very keen to bond with you and responds really well to praise. He will follow you over jumps and poles and through obstacles and has been worked with slowly using NH methods.
Ive had a saddle on him and been desensitizing him and leaning over him and ive found once you build up an initial bond he will do anything to please you. His temperament is to die for, he is very good with children.
I am now starting his education further & feel he would benefit from going to a home with a child or small adult that wants to show/compete him & my son has lost interest.
He likes to have his own human all to himself to bond with and fuss him ALL day and this is difficult as i have other horses.
Despite him being nervous with people he doesn't know, hes very good in traffic and i have walked him out alone on a very busy main road and he is not spooky with cars, tractors or lorries.
Connor is now ready to progress and find himself a forever home with a family that can continue his education.
I am in no rush for him to be sold-im happy to keep progressing his education and backing him during lockdown.
Any potential home will need to come and visit him, in first instance please call to discuss further. Home will be vetted.
No dealers, no novices-hes very sweet but needs an experienced handler/rider to build his confidence.
I will consider a loan to the right home
