Romeo has been with us for only 6 months. He was sold as a confidence giver suitable for my 9yr old novice daughter. He is not a first pony more a second pony as my novice daughter finds it hard to get him going but he goes beautifully for my older daughter who is too big for him. Sadly he hasn’t settled with us and needs a confident person on him to settle him. Unfortunately he has taken a shine to my mares and he hates being separated from them. He was turned out with one of them and they were attached at the hip! I can’t turn him out with my gelding as he is quite aggressive towards him chasing him away from the mares. He has a lot of potential, always ridden in a happy mouth snaffle, he is very straightforward and honest to jump. We jumped him up to 70 and he has scope to jump higher. He is also moving really nicely on the flat and he is a cheeky lovable character. He is good in traffic, farrier, dentist, loads/travels well but calls for his friends! Has done beach rides and PC camps with previous owner. He needs a home preferably with no mares and he needs a confident rider as he can buck when he is left behind in a group canter. He has a scar on his nose due to secondary photo-sensitivity, I had his liver tested before he came, his liver is OK and he just needs sunblock on his nose to stop it burning. I can provide the test results. He also has a scar on his left hind leg where he got caught up in some wire when he was young so sadly not good for showing even though he is very handsome. We have good trial facilities, I have vetting report from year ago and he is open to vetting. Flu jabs, teeth and back up to date. He is not speedy, doesn’t bolt and has good breaks. Price reflects all of his bad bits. Tack/rugs can be purchased separately. I have lots of SJ and XC Videos but no YouTube channel, I can WhatsApp them on request. I am sure if he has settled he would have been the perfect pony as advertised, sadly it's not to be at our yard.
